Dear Brothers and Sisters of FOSS Nepal ,

Greetings from UNITES Nepal

We would like to inform you that UNITES Nepal (UNIon of IT and IT Enabled Services Professionals) is Union organization of Nepalese IT and IT  Enabled Service Professionals, which primarily focused to protect their jobs and provide security. It acts aganings discrimination, exploitation and also concerns over the Health and Safety issues of Nepalese IT Professionals. Creating IT jobs and and its sustainablility is another prime objectives of UNITES Nepal. Legal Protection, Trainings, Skills and Retraining to its members, Members welfare program are part of its regular work. Flourishing IT and Implementing IT in all level of lives of Nepalese People through mass awareness and Creating pressure and Making suggesting and recommendations to the Policy Makers, Governments, Concern Authority and Organizations are also objectives of UNITES Nepal. UNITES is in the Organizing and Uniting phase. We have over 600 paid membership till date and targeting to uniting more than 1 Lakhs. We are going to organize its “Founding Conference and Youth Conference” as given below. In this occasion we would like to invite you all IT Professinals to participate in the conference. 

UNITES Nepal’s membership is open voluntarily the very same time of the conference but it is not compulsory.

Please be informed that Brother Chirstopher NG, General Secretary of UNI-APRO, Singapore will be attending this conference as chief guest in this historic event of UNITES Nepal.

Dear All,
         This is to inform you of my discussion with Mr. Rajneesh Bhandari who is a journalist working at Kantipur Television and freelancing as well, about Free and Open Source Software and how it can be used to completely convert a office sans proprietary software. He is researching over this issue and preparing a write up for a Nepali magazine. I hope this will push the issue of FOSS in the Nepalese media and help boost the open source movement.
