Summary: Spurious row at the bottom of pages with multi-page
                    tables
           Product: Fop
           Version: 0.94
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: page-master/layout
        AssignedTo: fop-dev <at> xmlgraphics.apache.org
        ReportedBy: hg <at> apteryx.fr

Tables spanning multiple pages sometimes show an extra row / extra border at the
end of the page. See attached example.
The problem seems linked to the presence of empty cells.

Thanks for reporting the bug. Funny that the same problem has been reported
several times recently. Looks like the issue is more urgent than I thought.

Summary: when a row contains an empty cell, all of the break elements generated
for this row have a 900 penalty, leading to all sorts of strange results.

What it says: "bottom" is simply not a defined value for this property.

I know what the message says. However, the link you sent is for XSL 1.1.

The Compliance page, however, states that FOP is aiming to be XSL 1.0
compatible. Also, all the links from the Compliance page to the XSL-FO
specification lead you to the XSL 1.0 spec, not 1.1.

Here's the link given in the "compliance" page for the "alignment-baseline"
attribute:

http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/REC-xsl-20011015/slice7.html#alignment-baseline

And according to what's written there (XSL 1.0 spec), "bottom" is a valid value
for alignment-baseline.

This is an error in the spec. These values should have been deleted. See
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/xsl-editors/2005OctDec/0006.html where the
editors acknowledge this.
