Assistance, please

Re: Rampant Spam

Gerald Lange certainly has a point - I have this group set to "daily digest,"
which sends all the messages of a day in one email to my inbox.  It used to be
full of interesting or at the very least real questions/answers/discussions,
but lately it's become almost entirely spam.  Can something be done about this
or should I just change my settings so I don't get mail from this group
anymore?

ISCII to Unicode

Is there any open source tool available that converts ISCII data to 
UNICODE data?

Unicode

I recently joined this list. Looks like the spammers have taken over
quite recently.

I'm a moderator elsewhere. Forgive the intrusion but dear unicode
moderator, if you want your list back: change your membership status
to restricted, begin moderating all messages immediately (and ban
spammers who attempt to post as well as who have posted previously),
put all new members on moderated status, forbid attachments, make the
archives private, start deleting all the previous spam messages.

Two months ago this list looked quite healthy. What happened here?

DBVT_ASTRING and DBVT_WSTRING for ANSI and UNICODE respectively.  
So, DBVariant now has two more string members to check:
