KEEPING TOXIC PAINTS FROM OUR HOMES
Experiential
Choosing a Paint that protects your health, with some tips on how to use them
Saturday, June 18, 2011; from 9:30 to 12:30
In the Enright Ridge Urban Eco-village, in Cincinnati
At this workshop Kellie Pittroff, from Greener Stock in Cincinnati, an experienced painter and contractor, is especially concerned about how our homes affect our health and our planet’s health. She will explore such questions as what are VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), why are they harmful, what about low-VOC paints, are all no-VOC paints the same?
Kellie will also take time to demonstrate tips on painting and give us an opportunity to use her suggestions while using a no-VOC paint.
Cost: $15/person, $25 for two people.
