Well, my first search for one of these names (after some less satisfying searches for sets of 
names) resultet in a claim that my computer is infected with the traces of visits to 
pornographic web sites, and an offer to install a programme that wipes out these traces...

(It was also claimed that I run Windows XP, and has very little free space on my hard drive -- 
neither of which is true...)

Might the answer be that Jansen, and all these other people, are members of a conspiracy to 
trick people into intsalling strange software that most probably will harm their computers?

(If so, I'm glad to hear that Mr Vold is only partly into it.)

And may I ask, what is the solution?

All the names on your list seems to belong to people who have written and/or published 
books -- but as far as I can see, these books don't have much in common (besides being 
books): There's crime mysteries, autobiographical novels, popular science, etc etc. 'Googling' 
some of the names, I get (besides accusations of having a dirty mind and offers of software 
to conceal it) references to as diverse (though by no means incompatible) issues as sports 
careers, homosexuality, and Pasient of the Year awards...

ground penetrating radars and plane-wave theory of time-domain fields)...

And still I don't get the point in Professor Hjort's quiz!

Can someone please explain in plain English?
