such organization or know about such organizations, please let us know...

FOSS SOFTWARE INFORMATION: Fibonacci aims in spreading the know-how of different types of FOSS Software,
their users, features etc. We are trying to spread analyze what type of users use what type of software. If
you use or develop any Software under FOSS, please let us know...

FOSS INFORMAL NOTES: Here you can post anything… really anything. If you have interesting quotes,

Dear colleague,

We would like to inform you that collocated with OSS 2009, a Doctoral
Consortium will be organized on June 3.

Hereby, you are kindly invited to attend the Doctoral Consortium. We
greatly welcome the participation of both students and researchers that
will attend the OSS 2009 conference.

It is our aim to provide students with high-quality feedback on their
research proposal. We strongly believe faculty members can provide
valuable feedback that will be beneficial to PhD students. For PhD
students, attending the discussion on research proposals of other PhD
students may be beneficial as well, as it provides ideas on what future
reactions to their own research may be.

Wikimania is an annual global event devoted to Wikimedia projects
around the globe (including Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource,
Wikinews, Wiktionary, Wikiversity, Wikiquote, Wikispecies, and
Wikimedia Commons). The conference is a community gathering, giving
the editors and users of Wikimedia projects an opportunity to meet
each other, exchange ideas, report on research and projects, and
collaborate on the future of the projects. The conference is open to

and free culture activists who are interested in the Wikimedia

CFP: Pre-ECIS 2009: Open Source and Innovation Workshop in Verona, Italy!

Hi all,

I would like to invite you to send a 1000 word abstract on open source
and innovation for a pre-ECIS workshop in Verona, Italy, this June. ECIS
is a conference that focuses on information systems, so you will meet
many interesting researchers (see http://www.ecis2009.it/index.htm). It
is Verona (Romeo and Juliet's city!!) in the month of June :-). 

I hope many, if not all of you will consider attending, and sending in
