Thanks for heading up, Eleri. I held a same question and talked with
one staffer. Besides manpower issue, currently we have issues as
follows:
- minor updates of the original (en) after translation has begun
Dear translators, if your version is not published yet, please check
your version with the latest original. You may need aditional works:
one typical example is "optionals".
- proofread needed
In some (rare) cases, some tiny elements might left untranslated (I
confess it's my own case). Please check if your version is proofread
well.

Community associates as well other staffers work hard, as you know,
and they'd take a look tomorrow they said. Thank you for cooperation
and good faith. Let us keep our work continue to a great successful
fundraising!

I'm ccing this mail to User:Geraki rest he doesn't pay attention to
this list for asking his favor.
In my experience requests for proofreading on a particular item work
best on your local community, General discussion page, IRC or
sometimes on external websites like Facebook or Twitter :D

Re: EDITOR APPEAL: Kartika Translation

This time the currencies are more varied - $, €, ¥. Can i add ₪ to the Hebrew translation or maybe replace the ¥ with it? ₪ is a lot more relevant to most Hebrew speakers than ¥ is.

The key to this is supported currencies:  if the currency is on our list of supported ones, yes.

If not, no.  :(

Philippe is right, important thing to check so that we don't make it look like we are offering a currency that we can't accept.

That said we do accept Sheckles ₪ :)

Philippe -
I suggest you let other currencies be named in the appeals - it makes "identification" easier: "This is meant for me!" And when contributing people understand that all currencies can not be handled.

Kartika lost swedish(?) translation

An anonyomous editor translated (in place) the English language Kartika appeal
to swedish (I think). I reverted the page, you can find the translation in the
page history, if it is of any use:

Re: EDITOR APPEAL: Kartika Translation

I just have a suggestion that

we better ask the editors themselves to also help to "translate" into their own languages
(the rest left to the volunteers of course)

as they know their appeal best I suppose
