French pages on wikimediafoundation.org

Hi  :)

Angela created an account for me on wikimediafoundation.org so I've been
able to do some translation work. I updated many French pages (see my
contribs) and also streamlined the lang templates as described here:

Thanks to Angela who edited monobook.css for me since I'm not an admin.

A few days/weeks ago, I red Anthere (on foundation-l I guess) pointing
out that resolutions were hardly visible on the website; so I added a
link on [[Conseil d'administration]] (fr) and [[Board of Trutees]]. I
was wondering if a translation of those resolutions would be useful.
What do you think?

proof reading di testo tradotto en-it

Ciao, ho iniziato a tradurre qualche programma per la elezione del board 
verso l'italiano. Utilizzo un CAT-Tool in modo che posso facilmente 
aggiornare le traduzioni, Questo facilita anche il proof-reading, perché 
la frase in inglese è sopra la frase italiana.

Visto che il mio italiano non è perfetto servirebbe qualcuno che da uno 
sguardo ad una pagina.

Quando si clicca su edit il testo diventa ben leggibile - a vederlo così 
sembra strano.

Ad un punto è stato modificato il testo originale - quindi la frase 
dall'inglese non si trova esattamente ("la possibilità di dimostarvi che 
posso far valere tutte le mie abilità")

Domani farò un altro pezzetto - ho visto che ci sono parecchie cose dove 
manca ancora l'italiano (anche di altri candidati).

Wikimania 2007 - get ready for the third edition.

Dear all,

Wikimania 2006 just closed its doors a week or so ago, and it is
already time to think about the next edition.

As happened in 2005 and 2006, the city hosting Wikimania in 2007 will
be chosen among whichever candidate cities dare/deign/want to
participate in the "hosting Wikimania" contest.

All information concerning how to launch a bid for your city/location
can be found on meta:

Tech operations: translations?

Hi!

Aphaia/britty and I were talking on irc about the latest "Operations
report" by Domas (see Foundation-l) and agreed it would be great "You,
outhere", translate it and forward it to local mailing lists :)

I will do so tomorrow for WikiFR-l.

As britty said to me, tech things are among the biggest concerns for
many people, and since it's the largest part of the foundation budget,
it would be great to spread as much information as can be on this subject.

whether or not you can be there at that time:

Alas and alack.  It looks as though some people can make the first
date, beyond the spc members who rsvp'ed ahead of time. <small>(and I
don't think that I can do sep 2...)</small>

Can we do both?  The first one couldbe more informal discussion,
partly to get a sense of what might be accomplished a week after.  And
then there will be more of a chance for all the spc members to make it
to one of the two meetings.

I've put Sep 2 and 3 as possible alternate dates on the agenda page.
Those of you who are interested, please note which of these THREE
dates you would be able to make... and put items you care about on the
agenda.
