Ready for early translation: Tech News #06 (2015)

Greetings,

The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2015/06

Direct translation link:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Tech%2FNews%2F2015%2F06&action=page&filter=%21translated

Two weeks ago, I moved some of the items to this week's newsletter due
to the pause in software changes. I also moved the existing
translations, so you'll see that some languages already have
translations. Please check that they were moved properly.

I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e. Monday
morning PST. The existing translations will be posted on the wikis in that
language.

There may be a few more edits by tomorrow (Friday), but the existing content
should generally remain fairly stable. I'll let you know tomorrow in any case.

Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As always, I
appreciate your help and feedback.

Thanks!

Chinese translators - please help us translate fundraising messages

Dear Chinese translators,

The Wikimedia Foundation will be running a fundraising campaign in China and Hong Kong this year. In order to prepare for the campaign, we would highly appreciate your help to translate banner messages from English to simplified Chinese (for mainland China) and traditional Chinese (for Hong Kong).

To translate into simplified Chinese, please click on the following link.

For traditional Chinese, please click this link.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

A warm THANK YOU for your help.

Kind regards,

Jessica Robell

Help us translate banner messages for our 2015 fundraising campaigns

Dear translators,

Happy new year! I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2015.

With a new year comes a new international fundraising campaign. We would highly appreciate your help to translate fundraising messages into your language(s).

A large part of the messages on this page is similar to the one we used in 2014. Some translations can therefore be copied and pasted from the 2014 translations

To start translating, click on this link and choose your language in the scroll down menu.

You can find a full list of texts that need translating on the Fundraising translation hub

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you once again for your valuable support.

Best wishes for the new year,

Jessica Robell

Ready for early translation: (short) Tech News #01 (2015)

Greetings,

The latest tech newsletter is ready for early translation:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2015/01

Direct translation link:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Tech%2FNews%2F2015%2F01&action=page&filter=%21translated

I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e.
Monday morning PST. The existing translations will be posted on the
wikis in that language.

This week's edition is very short, with only two items. I considered
not posting it this week, but eventually decided to use this edition
to ask for feedback from the subscribers. There won't be any further
changes to the text; you can translate safely.

Similarly, if you (as translators) have any feedback about how we did
in 2014, or if there are things we could do or change to make
translation easier, please do let me know, either on or off-list. You
can share your feedback all year long, but I thought I'd call out this
opportunity in particular.

Thank you all for your help in 2014; I'm really grateful for your
dedication, and I wish you all a happy Gregorian new year!

Thanks,
