Ready for translation: Tech news summary #25, distributed tomorrow

Greetings,

The latest tech newsletter is ready for translation:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News/2013/25

We will send it tomorrow, in order to give a little time for
translation while still providing users with information that isn't
outdated. The translations that are complete or mostly complete will
be posted on the wikis in that language.

As previously discussed on this list, we adapted our schedule to send
this call for translations on Saturday instead of Sunday, on the
assumption that it may be easier for translators to volunteer their
time on the week-end. Please let us know if that helps. We'll adapt
further if necessary.

Note: These two templates appear on the page and need to be translated
separately (if translations aren't already done):
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Tech_header
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Tech_news_nav

Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I
appreciate your help and feedback.

[URGENT] Community consultation regarding PRISM

Hi guys,
the Wikimedia Foundation legal team has just published a blog post at
<https://blog.wikimedia.org/2013/06/14/prism-surveillance-wikimedia/>
asking the community on whether they should take any action with regards
to the recently uncovered PRISM surveillance scandal.

They also published the text of the post on Meta, and Thehelpfulone and
myself have prepared it for translation at
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/PRISM>.

I'll greatly appreciate your involvement & contributions to have this
page translated into as many languages as possible as well as
popularised as widely as possible–please let your communities know about
this page.

Thanks in advance,
	-- Tomasz

Ready for translation: Latest tech news

Greetings,

The latest tech newsletter is ready for translation:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2013/22

According to the comments given last week, we haven't sent the
newsletter yet. We will send it tomorrow, in order to give a little
time for translation.

The newsletter is short and uses simple language. It isn't a problem
if translations are incomplete; we have to find a balance between
providing translations and sending the newsletter in a timely manner.

I've started the translation for French but I may not be able to
finish it, so if there are other French translators interested, feel
free to continue.

Note: These two templates appear on the page and need to be translated
separately (if translations aren't already done):
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Tech_header
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Tech_news_nav

Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I
appreciate your help and feedback.

Ready for translation: Tech Ambassadors & Tech News pages

Greetings fellow translators,

You may have seen recent changes on the Tech Ambassadors and Tech News
pages on meta.

I've tried to make them prettier, but more importantly simpler and
easier to use for contributors.

I think it's important that these pages be available in multiple
languages, in order to empower Wikimedians from all languages to stay
informed about technical changes, and have a voice in the software
development process.

This is why I've prepared the translation process for those two pages.
In order to check that everything was working properly, and that it
was easy enough to translate, I've translated one page into French,
and the other one is half done as well.

I'd like to ask for your help to start translations into other languages:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/Ambassadors

Your help is deeply appreciated. If you encounter issues or have
questions or comments, I'm happy to help as much as I can. Please feel
free to ask here or on meta.

Thanks again,

Help needed to translate page about Flow, the new discussion system

Greetings fellow translators,

The designers at the Wikimedia Foundation have started to work on a
new discussion system (called "Flow") to improve talk pages.

Because talk pages are a very central point of every user's work, they
need your help to translate the project's description page, in order
to allow more people to know what it is about and how it will work.

This will allow more users, who don't necessarily understand English,
to participate in the design process.

The page is a bit long, but even if you translate a few paragraphs,
your help will be appreciated.

The page is at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Flow

Many thanks for your help. Let me know if you encounter issues, and
I'll be glad to try and answer your questions.

Single User Login finalisation announcement - translation request

Hello all,

It would be really great to get the Single User Login finalisation announcement[0] translated into as many languages as possible as it potentially affects a large number of users in each language. There is the original announcement[1], the specific user notification for users who will be renamed[2], and the general[3] and directed[4] CentralNotices.

Many thanks!

Yours,
