we jsut discovered that since 2005, the update program does not useprogram
does no uance weight, so that migh explain why you get different results.
this will be fixed soon, we actually plan to release a new version of
seisan within 3 weeks.

Re: SEISAN Updates

wavetool can't find data for complete continuous database

Hello...hope someone can help with this.

I've made 4 continuous databases (HTS1-HTS4) for hourly blocks of 20 sps
RT130 data converted into .SEI format using rt_seis.exe. The file
systems in WAV and REA for the database are consistent with the
suggested formats in the manual, and I've made sure that SEISAN.DEF is
correct.

I can view the waveforms using eev, but cannot use wavetool for a simple
extraction. Here is the error:

andyf <at> drippy:~/bin/Seismo/WOR$ wavetool -start 20080801123000 -format
SAC -duration 450 -cwav
 Databases are:
     HT1S
     HT2S
     HT3S
     HT4S
2008 8 Reading events from base HT1S_ No data for year and month: 2008 8
2008 8 Reading events from base HT2S_ No data for year and month: 2008 8
2008 8 Reading events from base HT3S_ No data for year and month: 2008 8
2008 8 Reading events from base HT4S_ No data for year and month: 2008 8
  No data found
Check if parameter CONT_BEFORE in SEISAN.DEF is large enough
  Wavetool terminated: error

CONT_BEFORE is set at 60. I've tested it for higher and that doesn't
seem to be the problem.

Anybody have a suggestion?

Never, as soon as I write the email I notice that my database names are
mixed up.
Ignore this!
