Hi PyCampers! I hope you will all be attending the Houston Python meetup tonight and continuing to form HZPUG. At the meetup tonight, please discuss amongst yourselves the upcoming Houston Advanced PyCamp, which Josten has been kind to host again at TLC2. It's the perfect follow-on to Houston Plone Boot Camp (Joel's Plone Boot Camp is so great you won't believe it). We love the TLC2 classroom and hospitality: http://trizpug.org/boot-camp/hapyc1/ Click on the image on the page for a downloadable PDF of the flyer. Please let me know right away if anything is wrong with the flyer. I'm furiously busy these days and tend to tzype too fast. :) Josten, this flyer is slightly different from the one distributed at PyCon as I tweak the syllabus for maximum impact. (We distributed 50 of these at PyCon and only 2 were left on the last day.) Registration opens Saturday as registration ends for Camp 5 and the BBQ Sprint on Friday. There is a $50 discount for alumni of TriZPUG Boot Camps, employees of Texas institutions of higher learning, and employees of Federal, State, and non-profit environmental agencies. So most of you will be able to attend for $275. I think this is the best deal around. And as always, $50 of every paid registration goes to HZPUG (pending minumum 40 person registration requirements) as the purpose of all TriZPUG boot camps is to *grow the community* and *make you productive* rather then enrich trainers. If you saw what Josten, Doug, and I saw at PyCon, you'd understand how important this is, both to educational advancement of the world's children (One Laptop Per Child is powered by Python) and to scientific endeavor (*interactive* massively parallel distributed computing with IPython1 was so(Continue reading)
