Help with Translations?

Hi,

I've just seen this on the website:

"Volunteer wanted - no coding required. We need someone to coordinate
translations of the main web page. This entails emailing translators
when there is work to be done, gathering together their work and
forwarding it to the development team periodically."

I am currently a project manager for a translation company in the UK
and would be interested in helping you out with this project. Please
contact me if you still require someone to help you with this area of
the business.

Kind regards,

Ferdinando Menezes

Development under MacOSX

I was wanting to test the plugin I am developping on the Mac platofrm
and I was looking over the Compilation on MacOSX page. It lists the
usual cmake and QT requirements but also adds Apple's Developper Tools (
http://developer.apple.com/technology/xcode.html).

I had a look at the linked page and it links to something called Xcode.
Since I am using QT to compile on other platforms, is Xcode an essential
or an optional extra?

Re: Development under MacOSX

Qt's developer tools include no compilers.  So, yes, you need Xcode.

Re: Development under MacOSX

Just went to download this but it seems that you either pay $99 for a developer subscription or for $4.99 download from the Apple App store. I don't mind paying $4.99 but this is a 4.5Gb download and because its downloaded via the App store you cannot remove the installer afterwards to recover the disk space!

With some further Googling however, I have discovered that xcode is apparently available on the Snow Lepoard install CD. I have version 10.6.3 and have upgraded my Snow Leopard to 10.6.6. I also found a way to get xcode version 3.2.6 but this is also a big download - 4.1Gb but at least it can be downloaded seperately from the App store.  Will this version suffice?

You can use any of the versions, including the one that shipped with your Mac.

Re: Help with Translations

Hi,

I've seen an announcement on your website saying that you need someone for translation.
I can help with translation to Russian and Ukrainian languages.

I am currently working as a professional translator in (Ukraine)
and would be interested in helping you out. Please contact me if you still require someone to help you with translation.

 Best regards,
Oleg Melnic

Sorry for all but I write a next strings on Russian language.

https://launchpad.net/~stellarium-website

Branches diverged

I'm trying to push and updated version of my Gps Locator plugin to launchpad at location:

bzr+ssh://bazaar.launchpad.net/~subs-qcontinuum/stellarium/gpslocator/

However, I am getting an error in Bazaar:
bzr: ERROR: These branches have diverged. See "bzr help diverged-branches" for more information.

I'm not sure what has happened since my last 'push' but I am uncertain as to whether I should follow the solution given by the bzr diverged-branches or not?

"The solution is to merge the revisions from the mainline into your local branch... This merge may result in conflicts if the other developer's changes overlap with your changes.  These conflicts should be resolved before continuing...."

Can anyone advise me how to proceed?

Thanks.

Re: Branches diverged

Do a merge from bzr+ssh://bazaar.launchpad.net/~subs-qcontinuum/stellarium/gpslocator/ to your local branch.  IF you use the Bazaar GUI, this is just hitting the merge button.  If there are any conflicts, the GUI will also show these, and allow you to merge.

As an aside, I use kdiff3, as it can automatically merge almost anything; it works much better than most merge tools.  And it's free.
