Dear colleagues,

With this mail, we would like to give you an encouraging reminder, just days before the
submission deadline for WCSMO-9.

We have received many requests for an extension to the abstract submission deadline.
After careful consideration, we have decided to extend the deadline to Saturday 22nd
January 2011.

Post-doct position at the Computational Materials Science Center, GMU

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Computational Materials Science Center at George Mason University, Fairfax VA, USA.

The primary focus is to participate in team work for the development and support of a cloud computing environment in the Microsoft Azure Platform with content related to the structure of crystalline materials. Candidate should have a PhD degree in any of the natural sciences, mathematics, computer science or relevant engineering areas and be proficient in SQL, database integration technologies, Javascript and web-related technologies. Good communication skills and expertise in the manipulation of codes, C, c++, ORM, C sharp, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4. Experience to implement applications for a cloud computing environment is welcome. This is a one year position, with possibility to be renewed.

Salary depends upon qualifications. For qualified individual, please attach a detailed resume with extensive description of computational skills and include name and contact information of three references.
