WX stays on after alert

After the weather alert is activated (siren sounded) the weather 
reports continue to run until I turn the scanner off, is this normal?

Need help "NEWBIE"

i have the white frequency guide that came with the scanner when i 
try to put in some of the state offered frequencies in the book in 
any given bank it tends to round the frequency

say if i am trying to input in frequency 165.126 it will input 
165.150 or something along this line does this mean that the 
frequency is blocked out i dont know why uniden would publish this in 
the book if it were

also im typing in the frequencies like this 165.0126 for whatever is 
listed this only makes sense to do though b/c they add another 0 to 
the end of 165.126 i get 165.1260 when i just input it in like that

also how can i find out federal frequencies for my area i live in 
owensboro kentucky

You have to adjust the spacing on the scanner.  I do not have it in 
front of me, so I can't tell you how.  It is in the manual.  If you 
have trouble, let me know at jamezynj@..., and I'll figure it out 
for you.
