BOOM

I admit this shot is not crisp, because at the moment I shot it I jumped a
little, I think.

Man, I would have come up there for that. It sure would have beat cleaning
out the porch.

Fwd: Farewell from Michael Levy

I received this a few minutes ago. Not unexpected, but not welcome either.
Hope they have spell checkers in Heaven.

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with great sadness that I write to you to say that after a long, brave
battle with heart disease, my Father passed away yesterday afternoon, at
home with my Mother, brother and I by his side.

On Tuesday, my Dad asked me to be sure to email everyone in his address book
letting them know when he had passed... and I promised I would.

Re: Fwd: Farewell from Michael Levy

Mike Levy has been a good friend for over a decade. I first met him in conversation on the Minox and Leica
mailing lists, we've had many on many a great conversation and visited in person whenever time and
circumstance permitted. I'll miss him very much, and remember his wry humor, insightful photo critique
and hopeless spelling with great fondness.

Godspeed, Mike! You'll be around as long as I'm here .. :-)

IMG: Friday Flower (ric mar04/11)

Long day at work, long week--flower photo at sunset.

Don't think I ever looked at a maple flower before. As usual, slideshow gives best viewing.
