Foundations of Tango
(Introduction to Tango in Close Embrace)

This course is for newcomers to tango, or newcomers to tango in close
embrace. After completion of this 8-week 12-hour course, you will have
sufficient skills to dance tango in close embrace with confidence at a
milonga. If you keep dancing tango regularly, there will be no need to
repeat this course. Foundations of Tango prepares you for an array of
intermediate and advanced level courses we offer as follow-up training
in tango.

We are dedicated in teaching tango the way Argentines dance it in the
milongas of Buenos Aires - tango in close embrace. We have visited
Buenos Aires 4 times, participated in more than 60 milongas there, and
studied tango extensively with milongueros (regular dancers at the
milongas with decades of experience) and with tango instructors who
have studied with milongueros.

If you have seen us dance, this is the tango we teach. The way our
tango students dance is a reflection of how we teach.

This is the social tango of Buenos Aires milongas, where the focus in

Tango Topics at Studio X - heads up

Dear dancers,

This is a heads-up pre-announcement, as I don't have a registration  
form ready yet.

Carlota and I will teach teach two sessions of "Tango Topics" at  
Studio X. This is a tango course for advance beginners and  
intermediates.

We would like to start next week, but we can delay by a week if this  
is too short notice for dancers.

The course is gender balanced. We will give priority to students  
registering with a partner. If you aren't joining the class with a  
partner, you will go on a list and be paired up as partners appear.  
(This does not obligate you to take the whole class dancing with just  
this partner. We will still rotate partners in class.)

The course has a minimum of 3 couples and a maximum of 6. Once we have  
6 couples enrollment will be closed.

Cost: $40 per person for five weeks.

outdoor milonga tonight doubtful

The human body is 70% water. But my stereo equipment is not.

Wanted to this out before everyone left work (cause I know all you do  
at work is read tango email)

I am going to look into a potential alternative location, but I may  
have to cancel the dance tonight due to rain.

If you haven't heard of an alternative location and it's raining at  
9pm, that means the dance is cancelled.
