Re: Re: A miserable night at Walmart
We live about 7 miles south of the Yukon Walmart, intersection of Hwy 92 and I-40, and I would vote for it, as Yukon is a "wealthier" suburb. . . not quite as rough of an area as some of the other Walmarts are, and we see rigs parked there pretty regularly. There are plenty of restaurants south of I-40, a big Lowes, Target, etc., so if you can't find it at Walmart, you should be able to do so across the highway. Re: Help with wallmart Files
Stan & Karen, I believe that Microsoft no longer uses EST files, so you'll need to download the text file version. I do that it they work fine. Re: Help with wallmart Files
Stan, You need Streets and Trips 2010. I have it and it works great. When you do load the file, it is awesome. Everything you need is there. Sure worth the 39.99 for Streets and trips 2010. Re: Help with wallmart Files
It is very likely that the person who made this file did so using MS Streets & Trips 2010. Your 2009 version will not be able to read the new 2010 version. I note that when I open any of my old xxx.est files that after using them I am prompted to update the file to the new format. The only remedy that I know is to get the 2010 version. ------------------------------------

Re: Help with wallmart Files
Hello Stan & Karen... I have Vista and the latest Microsoft Streets & Trips program. I had the same / similar problem as you described. Very frustrating. The problem is not related to which edition of the program you have. The problem is that the "Administrator" setting that is part of Vista is not recognized by the software program... and therefore needs to be "reset" or "Set" within the Streets program....... The problem is that to run under VISTA the program needs to have the COMPATIBILITY item highlighted as “ADMINISTRATOR” within the program..... So.............. Go into “Computer” where it lists all program files Go to Microsoft Streets & Trips program go to the sub-program Streets.exe This is the “Root folder” then RIGHT CLICK and go to COMPATIBILITY go to the bottom where you then CLICK ON “Run as administrator” - - - - - - - - If you need more help I spoke to DAN at Microsoft 800 537 - 8324 He can walk you through this. ernie m in michigan(Continue reading)

Re: Re: Help with wallmart Files
You can import *.csv, *.xls or *.txt files in any version of MS S&T. I mostly use *.csv files. -Tom > > It is very likely that the person who made this file did so using MS Streets & Trips > 2010. > > Your 2009 version will not be able to read the new 2010 version. > > I note that when I open any of my old xxx.est files that after using them I am > prompted to update the file to the new format. > > The only remedy that I know is to get the 2010 version. RE: Help with wallmart Files
Streets &Trips still uses .est but the format for 2010 is different. You may need to get the 2010 version, or use a .csv file. -----Original Message----- From: walmartrving@...
