Thor Thankyou! I really enjoyed that article as well.

Erik has always been so generous at all the conventions I have attended. I remember his telling me once,that
he liked attending the Saab conventions in the USA. On this side of the pond,lots of folks didnt know who he
was,so it was pretty mellow. Over in Europe,everybody knows who he is and would mob him.

For Christmas I recieved a copy of "Harnessing Horsepower" a new book about Pat Moss Carlsson. Lots of fun
stuff. Pat was his wife of many years and as the article says she passed a few years ago.She was a great rally
driver and a great horse jumper as well.

I also have a copy of her first book from the 1960's. "My Life so Far"
It came from a library in England! No,I didnt pinch it.Somebody else probably did!

I just finished the book also.  Fabulous "read" once you get past the horse stuff.  LOL!  There will be a very
small exerpt from it in the upcoming Vintage Views, and the books' author has said he would like to write an
article, ect. for Vintage Views down the road -- he said he had a couple of other commitments right now, but
he did like the copy of Vintage Views I mailed him...

Engine Colors

this is my first post.  I am getting a 73 96, and will swap in another engine.  The "new" engine is a bit ugly, so I
will clean it up and paint some parts.  Question: what are original SAAB colors for the engine block and
valve covers (1973 V4)?  Was the engine compartment painted the car color or what?
