Need a remote type master cylinder top plate

I found and bought an NOS Sonett brake master cylinder with the reservoir and cap type cover plate, and now
need to find a nice remote type master cylinder top plate for it. The top plate on my old master cylinder for
my bullnose master cylinder is too rusty to use. Does anyone have a NOS or nice used remote type cover they'd
trade me for the NOS cover plate I have with the reservoir and cap built in.

If not, does anyone have an NOS or nice used remote type cover plate that will clean up nicely that they will
sell me outright?

Anymore Sonett remote type cover plates available out there for sale? I need a remote cover for the NOS unit I
just purchased without a cover. My other cover is questionable.

What´s this?

This is a ´thingy´ attached to a 1973 and ´78 96´s voltage regulator,
but does anybody know what it does?

It sits between the three wire loom from the alternator, in series with
the voltage regulator. It can be taken out of the circuit.

I have no idea. I've never seen it before, not even on an over-engineered
German car. Is it a relay of some sort? Is there a wire going anywhere
other than the three from the harness and the jumper to the voltage
regulator? It serves no function that I can see.

I have no clue, that´s why I´m asking... :-)

It has a 3 contact connector like the voltage regulator and 3 wires
coming out of the side with another connector at the end so it can be
fitted in series with the 3wire harness from the alternator.

The pic of the red '78 96 shows it disconnected, with the wire connector
stuck back on itself, so it is not part of any circuit.
On the other pic it is connected like it should.

The red 96 owner on
http://www.saabforum.nl/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=109687
raised this question but nobody knows what it is. One suggestion was
that it might be some radio noise suppressor or filter.

If I wasn't $6,000 deep into the restoration of my 65 I would be on top of this in a heart-beat!  Beautiful   And the price seems excellent with all the extras.

Re: [vSAAB] What´s this?

I think your last comment is correct although I have no proof of such, since it has shielded harness and
inline with the alternator I would put good money on it.. not my good money mind you.. ;-)

Re: 93 in Vermont

I know the guy a little. He and his partner bought a 93F shell from me some years ago, along with any two-stroke
stuff I had laying around. They seemed very serious about old Saabs and had several. I did get an email from
him a while back asking if I'd be interested in one of the cars. I replied, but never got a followup answer.

I've never seen this particular car but believe it is in very good condition. I understand Bruce Welch has
helped them out quite a bit with parts and such. Bruce would know the details of the car's condition.
