Time-lapse video of our drive home

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYreI6mAP30

Here it is, the entire 24-minute time-lapse video of our drive home, across the entirety of Interstate 90, east to west, 3099.07 miles not counting side stops (of which there were a few).

Some recognizable places and faces in there, including Meyer Garage - but most of all, the scenery is just amazing.

If anyone is interested in how it was done, let me know and I'll pass along the amazingly easy secrets...

Phil & Calye

Pete's Progress

FWIW, my son, Peter, has replaced the impeller and seals on the water
pump in his 99GLI in the Walmart parking lot in Salt Lake City thanks to
Gary Stottler, who sent him the tool to pull the shaft and provided the
seals, bearings and gaskets needed. He said that the impeller was all
torn up on the bottom and both seals were toast. He has gone a couple of
hundred miles this morning and the car's running very well at a much
lower temperature and no sign of water in the fresh oil. He should be at
the Burning Man site in Nevada in a few hours and hopefully this amazing
car will make it back to Boulder. Thanks to all who supported him in yet
another SAAB adventure.
Bill

Yeah, we've all done it ourselves. I am not sure I would have left on such a trip with a leaking coolant system..........

V4 engine

Anyone out there have a "good" running V4 for sale?   I would prefer a 1500 but if you are in NY state we can talk.
