Re: SOC UK '04

I hope I can one day but I don't think its this year...buying a house*, (the likely scenario) of dragging the
rally car that distance, SOCUSA/NA '04 scheduled the same weekend as the Woodward Cruise (2400 miles v. 24
miles), etc.)

Tho I've tasted some good NW wines from the bottle, I've friends in Warm Springs/Madras & Portland so I might
get out there yet to taste it from the cask. :-)

* if I can find a decent size and shape house w/ housing for 6+ cars for under $300K near me
(Leonard/Lakeville, MI). I've already accepted (albeit reluctantly) the idea of not living "On the
lake"...and that $250K won't do it (YIKES! =:-O)

Sean,

I know it's not the hard stuff, but maybe you'd like to approach one of the
Yakima wineries to come up the mountain and give us a taste. I've heard that
Northwest wines are very fine and making a good showing when compared to the old
world Italian and French brands. They're even beating California wines.

Horn "button" SAAB logo?

I have a 73 Sonett. On eBay, I recently acquired a Nardi wood
steering wheel to use. It came with the hub -- which is simply the
original type/style as was on it before. The actual horn button you
push is "blank." I have seen on some older SAAB's -- a SAAB logo on
that button. All of the logo's I have are "flat." That doesn't work
well on a curved surface. Any ideas as to how/where to get a
proper "curved" logo (or the horn button itself) to show it with the
name?

Re: V4 in Matra??

Revisiting an old thread...

The obvious question would be whether or not the transmission was any
better at handling the power of a modified V4?

Re: V4 in Matra??

I agree and I did find a schematic and it does look
better. I will report any findings.

Please, where I am (Boston Metro area), I'm look at $350, 1 car garage,
and a 45 minute commute for a tiny house. And it'll be a fixer upper.
Ugh.

Re: SOC UK '04

Agreed, Boston area real estate is nuts. I've a friend who bought in Jamaica Plain where you buy immediately
whatever's on the market WHEN it comes on the market, pay $500K+, and like it -or- don't buy.

But you can always knock out the first floor for a garage! ;-)

My beef is that I'm looking in the desolate plains of the lower Thumb, I have a half hour commute to the
northern-most suburbs of Detroit (1.5 hrs to Detroit itself), and I'm still looking at a jumbo investment...

Re: Re: SOC UK '04

All of this talk makes me really appreciate my situation. I live in and
have a 28x32 free standing garage in southern Maine, and I have a hi tech
job in Toronto. My commute is about 15 seconds (I telecommute) This is a
situation I dreamed about for years, choosing where to live independent of
where to work.

Mike,

I'd be willing if we can arrange it. I can't seem to get my wife or

Yeah, I've got to figure out how to start consulting. :)

I did see a house listed recently that had "room for 10+ cars". SOLD!

When my friend was shopping for one on the Mass. South Shore he looked
at one with a lift in the driveway. I couldn't convince him to get that
house though. :)
