Short and nono bulls1tty answer is "no idea". If one were to elaborate a
little, I'd say it might be a bad idea as paint and flexible, stretchy
surfaces don't usually go together. It is a nice black finish anyway and
I'm not fussy so ignore me :-)

A forward-looking chap, that Egerton: just the sort needed to develop
the waterways system. I predict a great future for him.

I'm VERY concerned about this proposal. My concern isn't that I may have to go chasing all over the place to
recover my narrow boat (that I don't have any more ;-))) it is the friction effect on my ropes. I am a habitual
over-stayer and I am sure that with repeated withdrawals of my mooring bollards my ropes are going to get
badly worn. What I want to know is whether I can get the cost of replacement ropes deducted from my next
licence? It's only fair after all that, for a continuous over-stayer like myself, I get my ropes replaced
at someone else's cost.
It's a worrying development for the life of my ropes but, if the principle could be incorporated into an
automatically lowering bank-side as well then I could get my blacking subsidised. ;-))

Very Interesting.

What is even more interesting is that in the News Archive, there are only
three other entries, and they are dated April 1 of 2006, 2008 and 2009. One
wonders what happened in 2007?

Cheers,

Phil

Sorry Alan I can't give you any meaningful advice but, if the bridge
is lower than 6ft 4ins, you may be able to redefine "permanence" in
the context of your cratch.

Have a good trip.

Caldon breach status?

Anyone know the current state of the Caldon breach near Leek tunnel?
Last Waterscape update was mid-November.

Thanks
Andrew

Re: Caldon breach status?

Work started a couple of weeks ago, due to be open mid-June. Its
estimated as a 12 week project as I recall.

Thanks for the reminder to update the CUCT site ;)

Regards,
Steve
