In spite of your earlier private reminders I still haven't mentioned it to SWMBO. I do need a cleat for my fore stay and I would like a nice little caravan-style hand pump to sit over the sink that Brian so kindly provided. However. I'm still working on getting all the bits of ply cut to size to complete my galley. Just a couple more to go - and a few more lengths to tulipwood to hold it all together. I'll probably be working on on the boat come Sunday if I'm not caught up in other "domestics". Re: Anyone going?
I went and arrived at about 0845 - cars parked everwhere! Not a lot of stalls but a lot of bargains as there were no traders as such. I bought a few things but one of the best bits was going around the museum for only 50p intead of the full price of entry - one for next years diary but I am going to arrive earlier Ian

I'm still working flat out on getting my boat prepared for the season. It's not even in the water yet. There's another issue to be resolved. They lowered my handicap - but none of the other boats. I hope it's a mistake - unless they're trying to tell me something! Greg Chapman http://www.gregafloat.plus.com A Boating Biography

Someone has seen you taking bits out and thinks you are trying to lighten the boat

Hi Brian, On 11 May 08 22:38 Brian from sunny Suffolk <brian@...> said: > Someone has seen you taking bits out and thinks you are trying to > lighten the boat Ah! They don't know that it's full 10mm ply that's going back inside. (I didn't want it that thick really, but it's what's left over from where I did need the thick stuff - my cockpit lockers.) Your old sink is going to look a treat. I've had to shave a couple of corners off the flange the to make it fit in the narrowing bows. I've neatly set it in the ply, by shaving off the top ply. The only trouble is that I mis-measured and I really should have set it further back in the boat. Also, at my first attempt, I cut the hole in the Formica that's going over the top 5mm out of line. Now I'm terrified that my second attempt will be no better. So it will wait to morning when, hopefully, I'll gt my confidence back. Greg Chapman http://www.gregafloat.plus.com A Boating Biography

Ah, collective nouns. here's a few http://www.ojohaven.com/collectives/ Maybe it should be a swim of narrowboats - depends on if they are moving, I suppose. There's another issue to be resolved. They lowered my handicap - but
none of the other boats. I hope it's a mistake - unless they're trying
to tell me something!
