London-based Wifi Guru required!

Hi folks,

There's a project being set up in Vauxhall, South London to provide a
Free Wifi Cloud to local estates. Looking for someone who can design
and implement this to the requirements. This is a funded project, so
you can expect to be paid if you're the right person.

Contact me off list to get the ball rolling if this is your thing.

London-based Wifi Guru required!

Hi Mamading,

I am based in SE8 and have been closely involved in the development of
community wireless for 10 years. We run a open wireless network in
Deptford and support development Comconnected in Kingston as well as
advise on many projects both local and and nationally.

If you would like to have a chat please call me on 07973318881

There are issues highlighted by the Digital Economy Act that you will
want to navigate regards open access but otherwise its a great time to
get involved as the equipment available has made significant
technological jumps in recent years and philosophy is well established.

Does your funding support on going running costs or just startup
capital? You certainly need to get the mix right from the start by
making limitations of funding known and collecting a fee equal to the
cost of service even if this slows the initial deployment or seems
counter intuitive as you will always need funding in some way.

here are links to these projects

http://own.spc.org (open wireless network SE8)
http://dek.spc.org/comconnected/ (kingston housing estate)
http://consume.net (where so much started)

We also work with a commercial but very friendly connectivity supplier
with long experience of supporting community networks who understands
the needs, encourages data exchange (shock) and high speed links.
