Somebody from Bangalore in the list?

I'm travelling to Bangalore, to be there until October.
I'm wondering if there is anybody from this list from Bangalore to setup
a meeting.

Re: Somebody from Bangalore in the list?

I'm in Bangalore and would be happy to meet. I'll caution you that I
am more of an "observer" at this point wrt wsfii. I could not attend
the conference in Dharamsala unfortunately, and my contributions have
been nil since then.

Re: Somebody from Bangalore in the list?

Is there not a barcamp coming up in a couple of weeks? I think Rene who
was in Dharamsala will be in Bangalore in the next two weeks, as will
Hugo but he is not a techy anymore but a motorcycle repairman! He might
be convinced though! Is Dinesh on this list?

Re: Somebody from Bangalore in the list?

Hi,

starting tomorrow to Bangalore and hope to stay there for a while and
get involved in some projects. After last years Dharamala Meeting and
some follow-up Workshops in Kerala and Goa I decided to go to india for
a while. So a meeting will be nice, but it's a little bit too early to
say anything about when and where. I'll get back to the list as soon as
I know more about the things.

Regards,
Rene

just to let you know, there is an event near Nashik in Maharastra, certainly far from bangalore: http://barcamp.org/DigitalBridgeCamp
I will be there at the camp on 17th and 18th.

But do drop in in Mumbai some time when you are in India.   we are planning to setup a very ambitious mesh in Puna very soon. May be you can help us as well.

Nagarjuna

Re: Somebody from Bangalore in the list?

Nice to see those replies ;)
I'm currently on the way.
Actually I wasn't neither in Dharmsala, and going to Bangalore for work,
not sure how much available time, I might be quite busy during working
hours on labour days, if I have a chance to travel within India will be
likely on a weekend.
Happy to meet and live chat with some freenetworkers (like myself) there
;).
I'll be back as soon as I get into the city, probably by the weekend,
when I know a little bit on logistics, I will contact with all who have
replied.

Many thanks and looking forward...

Ramon.

Re: [International] [WLANware] Fwd: [CWN-Summit] International Mailinglist for Freenets

2007/9/14, Gavin Baker <grbaker <at> ufl.edu>:

This doesn't solve the problem, but it may help -- Gmane provides a Web
interface for mailing lists with public archives, including an RSS feed:

http://www.gmane.org/

The RSS feeds may be useful to anyone who wants to keep track of
multiple lists without receiving a ton of email. You could load them all
in your feed reader, or put them in a mashup service like Yahoo Pipes.

In fact, it would be possible to mash together all the RSS feeds from
the mailing lists, so it'd be a "meta-list". And you could even use
rss2email to output it back to email ;)

Gavin that could be an idea in fact ..

So what about the newly created funkfeuer list ? shall it carry on ?

there are so many problems with the freenetworks list I guess people using it should focus then on the wfsii-discuss as they are more people suscribed .

I think having at least one person from all the world communities would be the best .

If the people from WFSII are ok , I can invite most of the world communities to join it

Use and regulation of 802.11 b g and n in India

Hi

Would anyone be able to point out where one can find the notification
permitting the unlicensed use of the 802.11 wifi channals

and further if there are any specific areas where it cannot be used and
if there are any uses which are restricted.

I got the following link from another forum

http://www.dot.gov.in/wpc/Gazette%20(%202.4%20GHz)_Outdoor.doc

but this does not specify uses and areas where it can or cannot be used.

thanks

ram
