That's a very big subject. What to eat, where to get it, how to grow it,
how to process and store it and in what and where, kitchen equipment,
grain mills, fermented foods incubators, blenders, food processors,
juicers, hand crank grain mills, juicers, food grinders, soy products,
miso. tamari, natto, tofu, tempeh, kim chee and kraut making,
refigeration, pressure cooking, cooking appliances, wood-fired, gas or
electric, brick ovens, root cellars, solar and electric food
dehydrators, tray sprouting, container sprouting, sprout farms,
container growing, greenhouse growing esp. attached, aquaponics and
hydroponics; raw foods, vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, lacto-ovo-pesco
vegetarian, meat cooking, processing, storage, the list is endless.

New US hardiness zones

You can see the changes in the USA hardiness zones that have been mapped by
The Arbor Day Foundation at:

http://www.arborday.org/media/mapchanges.cfm

Play will change the map from the 1990 USDA hardiness zones to the 2006
Arborday.org hardiness zones. Watch your area carefully as the colors slowly
change.
Reset will change the map back to show the 1990 USDA hardiness zones.
Differences shows colors that represent how much each zone has changed
since 1990. For example, the pink areas of the map have warmed up enough to
change one hardiness zone (e.g. the top half of Nebraska has increased by one
zone).

Parts of Wisconsin, where I live, have also changed by one zone. One area
in Wisconsin has changed by two zones! (Can someone familiar with that part
of the state tell me just where that is?) You can also enter your ZIP code
to find what your new hardiness zone is.]

>From a posting on RealClimate:

What a hoot, and four and twenty certified authentic bozos to boot
Isabel. That's hilarious. I can just see those crooked scambags'
faces turning twenty shades of red at your accusation knowing they
had got caught red handed, puffing and blowing in indignation
and slamming the electronic gate in your innocent inquiring face.
What's their URL, I'd like to have a look at them in action.
Someone should call their state's attorney general's office and report
them for fraud. That would make them pucker up real good.
