That doesn't look etiolated to me Michael, it looks fine.  Some examples of
ballyi have longer leaves than others.  Cool little flower spike.

My first thought on the purple cataphyll was masoniana, but I can't verify if
grandis has the same or not.  I had some masoniana-like Sans from Alice W,
and when new leaves came up with the exact same purple sheath as
my other masonianas, I relabeled them all with masoniana.  Maybe a mistake on my part
since now I don't know which ones they were.  None have bloomed, but
outwardly they looked exactly like masoniana.
