Have you tried selling books on Half.com? Their bite is not so painful, and there is no limit to how long the item can be listed. Although it is an eBay company, they have very different policies. They refund for postage. The only drawback is obscure publications that they don't have an ISBN # for, although they will let you apply to have the # included.

I enjoy reading the communications of this group, have been too busy (and too new) to offer anything meaningful, but hope to soon!

I ordered 2 copies of the book you recommended, An Island Called California, one for me and one for my sister. When I received them, one was a copy signed by the author, addressed to her parents! Fairly off-topic, but I thought it was interesting.

nobody is too new. No i have not yet worked my way back to any retail commerce ever since i got into landscape design and installation, right now, LIFE has become my hobby!

but it is a good Idea. Actually I could hawk them from my website IF ONLY I HAD A SCANNER. praps I shall go online and get one. suggestions? reviews of scanners please?

well, I have friends leaving for Africa tomorrow who would have bought that flora! Maybe me too.

I have an HP 6310 all in one that scans, copies, and prints (it has a fax too, but I haven't used that feature). It's good. There are tricks, but won't bore you unless you get one...

All in ones are handy, and you can sell the old stuff on eBay!
