Just wanted to see how many people are actually on this mailing list. I was
very interested in Unununium when I stumbled across it.

All the available general information is at <http://unununium.org>. As
far as screenshots, they are quite boring, but you can make your own
easily enough. The source code is also available, should you want an
exact description of Unununium. If you have any specific questions that
need answering, feel free to ask them here, but otherwise we don't have
any information and material packets beyond the aforementioned webpage.

Re: Information

I'm sure we'd all be more than happy to lend you a hand here. How
bout let us know all the things you want to know, and we answer.
Otherwise... you'd end up with entirely too much information. :P

Re: New to the List

Hello Devnet,

welcome! This list has been a bit quiet lately, but I
see that it's coming to life again now! It's not only
very interesting to follow the development here, but
also the many ideas that people have about a future
operating system. I'm looking forward to hear more
such ideas, even from people who have never written a
line of code!

Willem

Re: Information

Hello Hannes,

I'm not an ununumium expert and I'm on the mailing
list for a short time myself. However...

1. Sorry for stating the obvious, but there is some
information on the web page
(http://www.unununium.org/) which might already be
challenging to understand, more so for someone who's
not a native speaker
2. Have you read all the posts in the mailing list
archive?
3. Have a look at osnews.com! They have quite a lot of
ressources (look in the menu to the left) and regular
news on operating systems.

Willem

Linucon 2005 - UUU Panels/Demo/Events?

Greetings,

Linucon 2005 (http://www.linucon.org) is around the corner and the time to
get on the event schedule is upon us. If there are any Perl or other Open
Source projects or topics you as a group or individuals would like to
present please contact me with details. I'll work with the Linucon staff
to get it on the schedule and make sure the proper support is in place.

Hmm well, I've been busy working on work and music software recently, so
no, not really. But worry not, in a few months it will fall under my
interest again, AND THEN THE WORLD WILL BE OURS! MUAGHAHAH!

I'm very much looking forward to it. My special
interest is in the next gen user interface, wouldn't
Ununuium be the perfect place for that? And no, I'm
not talking about Tiger or Longhorn, that's not next
gen. If I'm lucky, I'll one day even be able to not
only think about but actually work on it...

There's just this little problem that everybody had
who'd been talking about next gen user interfaces...
The picture what it should be is very unclear. We'll
work on that!
