You need to set different scsi initiator id on the second host. Search
sunsolve to get the doc on how to set scsi initiator id, you probably need
contract access to get the document though.

OpenBOOT commands make blade 1000 useless

Hello,

By a mistake and lack of knowledge of OpenBOOT, i set up the
configuration of a Blade to this:

diag-level = max
diag-switch = true
diag-device = screen

I think diag-file was set to empty. What can I do ? It is a blade 1000,
I never thought of the impact and risk of these commands.

Please, help to solve this incident, the openboot and post version are
the latest as today.

Thanks,

fabio.

You might try to reset the OBP by typing set-defaults, or turn the Blade
off and turn back on holding Stop-D. I hope this helps.

Re: OpenBOOT commands make blade 1000 useless

Hi Fabio,
Power on your system while holding down the stop and N keys.
This will reset the OBP to factory defaults.

Re: OpenBOOT commands make blade 1000 useless

I posted this a few weeks ago. Since the 1000 has a
usb keyboard, it doesn't have a STOP-A, STOP-N etc.
Good luck !

Supported/working ATA RAID controllers?

Hello, sunhelp sunbscribers,

I think of buying a non-expensive ATA RAID controller for 2 drives
running in RAID 0. This is for a PC box running Solaris 9. Can you
advise what controller to choose? I know Solaris's support for cheap
hardware is not reach, but anyway, if you know some ATA controllers that
work well with Solaris IA, thank you for sharing this information.

Valery.

Off topic-DNS Question

A customer writes with the following problem ...

I am having an ongoing issue with the www.floridaschoolchoice.org
website. www.floridaschoolchoice.org is a domain name that was recently
moved from Zeus (where it pointed to the virtual web at
www.firn.edu/doe/choice on 150.176.9.174) to DCUSTLWS01 (where it points
to a website on 10.10.70.168).

ZEUS is running Solaris 8 with apache; DCUSTLWS01 is a Windows 2000
server running IIS
Since it has moved, I am getting hundreds of 404 Error notifications
from the website. 404 Errors indicate a missing file. Here are a couple
of examples of links that have generated errors. There are many more.
http://www.floridaschoolchoice.org/~doe/fefp/xls/djj0405calc4.xls
http://www.floridaschoolchoice.org/doe/title1/9900t1/files/9900t1pasco.p
df
http://floridaschoolchoice.org/schools/seminole/awill_ms/2003-2004%20Sch
ool%20Planner.pdf

These are all actually valid links on Zeus. The only thing wrong with
the link is the domain name. It appears that www.floridaschoolchoice.org
is getting substituted for www.firn.edu. Here's what the above links
should look like:
http://www.firn.edu/~doe/fefp/xls/djj0405calc4.xls
http://www.firn.edu/doe/title1/9900t1/files/9900t1pasco.pdf
http://www.firn.edu/schools/seminole/awill_ms/2003-2004%20School%20Plann

Lets start here. 10.10.70.168 is not an Internet routable address. Do
you have the correct information or is this in error?

It's correct ... that is how it is on the inside of our network.
