Hello, There was no sound driver installed in the system at that moment. After reading some replies here I've tried later installing the sound driver and it seems failing. The audio card is present in Device manager, but just after startup, it gives error messages about memory in userinit and rundll. wojo664 01-09-11
I watched the video. Great work. I get why this is a big deal: smooth video, playable game, etc. While I don't have the time to help with reactOS I do follow along in the background. today,i download the latest version of ReactOS,and burn it into CD
to boot & install it.
when i enter the FreeLoader,and after the program loaded the system
files,it gives me an ERROR "ReactOS can not find Hard Disk".
then Press "Enter" to reboot. install failed.
my Hard Driver is Hitachi 120GB SATA HD,and my laptop is HP compaq 6510b
model,please help me with it.thanks~

Hi, 0.3.13 is getting quite old. Can you try with a recent build? Find the ISOs here: http://www.reactos.org/getbuilds/ If you have the same problems with that, you should file a bug report. Join on IRC #reactos to get help. Also note that ReactOS is not marked Alpha quality for no reason! Unfortunately that doesn't tell anyone automatically what controller is used (AMD, Intel, Via, Marvell, Silicon Image, etc), in what mode (IDE legacy emulation or AHCI) and at what speed. Should you wish to experiment with ReactOS, best thing right now is a virtual machine like VirtualBox for example. On the other hand, if wanting to resolve this hardware issue, some slightly more detailed info could be handy.
