Keyboard mapping under XPhoton

Hi Everybody

I'm trying to use XPhoton under QNX 6.2.0.
I use a french keyboard, and the keyboard mapping isn't correct under
XPhoton.
How can I change it ?

I've read the related topic
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=1860858
in this list, but the link
http://mama.indstate.edu/users/liug/qnx/qnx62/src/xphoton.tgz
is broken and I can't download the XPhoton source to add my keyboard.

Thanks in advance
best regards

Hello everybody,

You will find attached to this mail the keymap definition file and the
modmap file for a PC 105 french keyboard.
It works fine but I have a remaining problem : how can I say to XPhoton to
use my pc105fr.modmap as
default mapping ?

Best regards

I start XPhoton -keymap pc105fr.map which assign the correct mapping to the
french keyboard, but
after that I need to make a xmodmap pc105fr.modmap.

fvwm2 problem

Hello,

I have just joined the list. I have got XFree86 up and running,
and I am trying to get fvwm2 to work.

I made the file .xinitrc in my home directory containing only one line:

fvwm2 &

When trying to start with startx I get an error message:

[FVWM][main]: <<WARNING>> X does not support current locale: C;ctype:POSIX

Has anyone else got the same problem? In Photon I have set Norwegian locale,
but this should not affect XFree86 should it? The default twm works, so I
can use applications etc. Mozilla works fine.

Thanks for any help,
Robert Folland

Xphoton and keyboard remapping

Hello,

I just joined the mailinglist, and have the same problem with remapping the keyboard
for XPhoton as Pierre Aubert, but for a Norwegian keyboard. Pierre, could you (or someone else)
please mail me your French keyboard file, it will make things a lot easier for me. I cannot get
the attachment from the archive messages.

Thanks,
Robert Folland

For those of you who are lucky/unlucky to use qnx 6.2.1,
the following info will be helpful.

Replied by email, but others may be interested...

This is a known problem PR14832

You can fix it yourself by changing the
open(/dev/mem); mmap() -to- mmap_device_memory()
and
munmap() -to- munmap_device_memory()
in
xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/nto/nto_video.c

Loading fonts under photon

Hello everybody!

I have big troubles loading any fonts from files:
loading the file via PfDynamicLoad() works correct, but generating the
stem-name for the font via PfGenerateFontName() always returns NULL?

here's my code:

if((lID = PfDynamicLoad((char const *)filename, fontDesc)) == -1)
{
   perror("PfDynamicLoad:  ");
   PtExit(EXIT_FAILURE);
}
if(PfGenerateFontName(fontDesc, 0 , 14, stem_name) == NULL)
{
   printf("PfGenerateFontName() failed!\n");
   PtExit(EXIT_FAILURE);
}

On the other side: if I use PtFontSelection() after loading the file,
then I get a valid stem-name returned and I can use the font as usual.
What's wrong with the above code?

thanks for help
