Re: [Pbibuild] PBI Autobuild: scribus

*.sla files are not linked with the program.

This is when you run it on PC-BSD 1.5 or 7.x? I'm using 7.x, and it
seems to open all the various files here :)

I've just fixed this up in SVN now. It should be taken care of in the
nightly rebuild.

Do I have to manually get all the .png image files for the PBI I am trying to build? I assume it's for menu icon and desktop icon

It depends, if you are trying to use the PBI module builder, sometimes
the port you are building will have some .png icon included, and you can
use that. However, if it doesn't, you'll need to grab some png icon for
the desktop / menu shortcuts, and use those. (I usually just go through
the oxygen iconset, and find something which reflects what the program is)

Also, if you want customized installer images, let us know here which
PBI you are working on, and Gonzalo can probably get one made up quickly
for you. He's really good at it :)

windowz apps installation proccess for wined pbis

Does anyone knows how can we make the installation proccess of the
photoshop .exe using wine emulator be transparent for the user so he
cant modify the path where it will get installed or change some
options so it will just show how it is being installed in a somekind
of default path?

I think I read long time ago about some stuff which makes transparent
installation of windows software which let the enterprise workers to
copy from a workstation to another easily a program with specific
options and so.

Un saludo,
Gonzalo Martinez - Sanjuan Sanchez.

Invitation to a cross-distro/OS games packaging list

Hi all,

I am not 100% this is the correct list to send to, but it sounded like
a better target
than the core dev list. Apologies if this is the wrong list!

The Debian and Ubuntu games teams have merged completely and the Fedora team
has been working more and more with us to reduce duplicated work. We have been
using the Debian games mailing list until now, but we decided that a
distro/OS-agnostic list would be better. At the moment, members of Arch,
Debian, Fedora, FreeBSD, Gentoo, NetBSD, Slackbuilds (the officially unofficial
Slackware package repository) and SuSE are on this list.

As Games are somewhat special in that they in general need more patches than
other packages and that they often have a dead upstream, we plan to discuss
some ways there to try and collaborate more.

We have started defining requirements and possible layouts for below-upstream
repositories. Test repositories are in the works. You can then pull from there
and get a common, patched version. Specific patches would be applied either in
your local repositories via your existing processes or, in cases where such an
infrastructure does not exist, you could maintain packaging information etc
within our repository.

I hope I managed to interest a few of you and hope to see you on
games@... [1], soon. For an introduction, read
Miry's email
[2] and mine [3].
