HP 735/125 for donation in Adelaide, Australia

This unit has been gathering dust for too long now and I figure
someone else may as well have a play with it. Its pretty heavy, maybe
25kg, so I'd prefer local pickup. I'd rather give it to a developer,
but if there is no interest I may change my mind.

No monitor or keyboard etc. It has two 50 pin SCSI drives (2gb, 1gb),
one of which is not well secured. The most recent dmesg I have from it
is below.

Wireless PCI

Hi. Just checking, because the list of supported wireless adapters in
ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/4.4/hppa/INSTALL.hppa is a lot shorter
than the list for i386, and mostly lists USB adapters. I assume there
is no reason why a PCI adapter that's supported under i386 should not
also work on hppa?

clock drift on C3650

Hi,

Sometimes, the clock of my C3650 drifts off and it takes a while to
stabilise again. It seems to be related to high load, but I'm not sure
of this. Does anyone have similar experiences?

Re: LiveCD OpenBSD to HP RISC

G'day Luis,

Depending on the version of the GSP/MP you have, have you
tried either ctrl+b or

wait five seconds and hit "p" to break into the
service console? I have only seen one

L3000. The console was directed to the
lan service port which you can point a browser

at. There should be aa
physical reset or you can disconnect the power and yank the

battery which
should reset the password for the MP. I had to do this recently on an

older
machine.

Also... the L3000 has a heck of a lot of ram and cpu's and
devices to check and bring

up prior to IPL and showing anything on the
console. It may take a few minutes depending

on how loaded the machine is
with disk and ram for anything to appear.

I assume you've stuck a dumb

LiveCD OpenBSD to HP RISC

Dear Friends,

I would like to know if you have information about if there is a OpenBSD
LiveCD to HP RISC Architecture.

I need boot a Server HP 9000 L3000, (5470) in order to mount a disk volume
to change the root password.

The Server had a lot of time that doesn4t work, I mean, It had a lot off
with out turn on, but we turn on recently and it works very well, but
nobody remember the root password. I thinks that using a OpenBSD LiveCD, I
would can run it the SO and mount the partition where I can change the
password.

Thanks a lot of for your help, and I will appreciate if you let me know
some suggestion about it.

Best Regards,

Luis Moreno

eisa0 at mongoose0 ?

Hi,
I'm interested in getting an EISA ep(4) card to put in my 735/125.
http://www.openbsd.org/hppa.html shows mongoose(4) as unsupported,
however my dmesg is deceiving me to believe this page may be out of
date.

mongoose0 at mainbus0 offset c000000 irq 17: HWPC000 rev 34, 33 MHz
eisa0 at mongoose0
isa at mongoose0 not configured

Could I reasonably expect an EISA ep(4) to work on such a machine?

On a related note, I have an ISA ep(4) at the moment. Are ISA and EISA
compatible? Can I expect to one day see isa0 at mongoose0 ?

Thanks,
Graham
