DEC equipment give away

Hi folks,

I have a bunch of DEC equipment to give away: cpu's, monitors,
tape drives, etc. I'm in Berkeley, so it will MUCH better if the
person(s) is/are in the vicinity.

I might be interested in some of this. Do you have a listing of the
available equipment?

Re: DEC equipment give away

Likewise. Tell us what you've got!

I'm also a lazy wuss. If I can get my hands on a DEC 3100 that
doesn't fail on POST (8 lights on solid), I'm going to try to
weasel an image of an installed BSD system out of someone to
dd onto a drive and stick in there.

Well, 8 lights on solid means the system does not actually fail on POST,
but the CPU does not bother to execute any instructions -- it is dead and
decaying already...

Re: DEC equipment give away

I'll go to the room where the stuff is and make a list. Stay
tuned. Cheers,

Re: DEC equipment give away

This is a partial list, bit more or less:

2 DEC 5000/240
2 DEC 5000/200
1 DEC 5000/125
1 DEC 5000/20
4 DEC TK50
3 DEC Storage Expansion
3 DEC 19'' Monitor
3 DEC 17'' Monitor
Keyboards, Mice, Cables, miscelaneous, etc.

All in unknown working conditions, although they are cosmetically
nice.

Re: DEC equipment give away

I'm trying to figure out if and when I can make the trip to SF.
I don't imagine a monitor would ship inexpensively and I'd love to
put together a full workstation setup. In Phoenix here.
