Out of address space?

This is interesting:

Starting BIND 9: panic: enter: out of address space
Stopped in pid 213.1 (named) at netbsd:cpu_Debugger+0x6: unlk a6

I'm completely lost. Anyone have a clue?

System: Quadra 605, 68 megs, real '040, NetBSD 2.0 from releng as of
27-July, BIND 9 compiled from pkgsrc on NetBSD 1.6 (from before the 2.0
upgrade).

Softfloat file availability on Monday

Hi,

The softfloat NetBSD sets and binary packages will be unavailable during
part of Monday due to server upgrades, but will be back later Monday
evening.

Thanks,
John Klos

Or maybe an alias on a different network, eg. 192.168.1.1 for the
"internal" side of the 475. Wouldn't that be easier?
Anyway, in my example I was assuming a simple DSL modem, not a modem/
router. If I decide to go for the modem/router solution, which I think I
will, I don't think I'm going to place another router further downstream --
would be fun, but not worth the effort for a 2-machine network ;-)

Thanks!

PB520C

Anyone know the current status of the PB 520c? It has a 68040LC.

I found a lot of old posts regarding it, but nothing recent. Is the FPU
emulation bug fixed, or is it still around?

Thanks,

Bruce ONeel's -msoft-float set should work on the 520c (it's known to
work on the 540c, and in fact I'm going to install it on my 540c this
weekend). I forget the URL, but I'm sure he'll be happy to post it ^^

I've got an older version of Bruce O'Neel's soft-float packages --
version 1.5.something -- working on a 520c. I can dig it out if you need
more information.

Cheers,
Joe

It's in the archives. Look for threads involving Bruce ONeel and Julio
M. Merino Vidal.

(And I'm looking forward to giving the latest one a try on my two
Performas.)

Re: PB520C

Hi,

While I've not loaded the 2.0 beta on a 520c, I have loaded
past versions on the 520 and they have worked fine. The only
difference is that the 520 is slower.

You can get things starting at lain.ziaspace.com/pub/NetBSD/m68k
and chosing from there via ftp.

Cheers and good luck!

ftp://lain.ziaspace.com/pub/NetBSD/m68k/NetBSD-release-2.0-mac-softfloat/mac68k_softfloat/

Thanks to John Klos for disk space, CPU, and bandwidth for this.

cheers
