Gumstix verdex patch

Hi! all,

I almost ended the transplant work of gumstix. (exclude malo(4))
I am planning to merge it sequentially next week.

1. gumstix main patch. Not depend other boards.
     ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/kiyohara/gumstix/gumstix.diff

2. saost(4)'s frequency configure at run-time. Need support both PXA270
and PXA255. It influence to hpcarm and zaurus and evbarm boards
   (TWINTAIL, VIPER, LUBBOCK) perhaps.
     ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/kiyohara/gumstix/saost-runtime-config-20090625.diff

3. I misstake sinse 2007/08/21.
This patch influence to zaurus perhaps.
     ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/kiyohara/gumstix/gpio-config-20090221.diff

4. The peripheral device of pxa might not be able to do an appropriate
match. It is necessary to confirm the address more. We do not have
the method of fixing the order of matching the device.
pxaip_attach_critical() configure some peripheral devices. However
pxaohci and pxaudc and others can match.

     ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/kiyohara/gumstix/drivers-match-20090221.diff

I will commit No.1 next week.
No.2 and 3 and 4, I want the opinion of other maintainer. I will wait
until the week after next.

Cross Compiling Packages

Hiya,

Just wondering if there is any way to cross compile pkgsrc packages from
i386 to hpcarm? I found a post about this on the hpcmips list from 2005
regarding this and the answer was a 'not yet', but then I found a
cross-building wiki at http://wiki.netbsd.se/Cross-building_pkgsrc - has
anyone tried this method and does it work?

I know there are packages in
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/hpcarm/5.0/ but there
seem to be some missing that I need and I don't fancy leaving my Jornada
compiling for days on end unless I have to!

Any packages I manage to compile, I would be very happy to upload.

Cheers,
Nick

Why not? It's not like it makes a lot of noise, or takes up much space? ;)

My understanding is that most of the packaged 3rd party software does not
support cross-building.

Re: Cross Compiling Packages

You've got a point! I'll upload any packages I manage to build.

Nick.
