Recent netinstall.lif images fail to boot on a B180L

Hi all,

I tried netbooting using the netinstall.lif images built recently (builds
200603050000Z, 200603090000Z, 200603110000Z), and all cause a kernel panic, which
is as follows (I'm not using a serial console, so I retyped this, sorry if I made a typo):

Not sure that's too useful for anyone, but thought I'd include it. I'm running
a B180L. I was successful at netbooting an older version of the netinstall.lif
file from a build back in August (unfortunately I no longer have that file).

Dave

C360 support

Is anyone looking at importing the HP Visualize C360 support bits from
OpenBSD?
I was recently given a "defective" C360 that I managed to resurrect so
I'll have a
go at it myself unless someone is working on it already ...

Cheers,
-Tobias

not that I know of, no.

the C360 has a PA-8500 CPU, which uses the PA 2.0 architecture. this
means that we'll need changes to the pmap code to support the new TLB.
our hppa pmap code is completely different from openbsd's, so this will
need to be reimplemented rather than just brought over. the rest of it
(new drivers, etc) should be much easier to just merge in.

AFAIK the C360 (and the C2xx models) have a GSC bus IO architecture very
similar to the already supported B180L. This means once we get the CPU
supported the rest will work out of the box. (Or maybe with minor
adaption.)

Once we get the PA-2.0 CPUs supported we are not far from support for
the new PCI based machines (B2000 etc.). If someone does the PMAP work
for PA-2.0, I am voluntarying to take care of the IO.
