phy device on Qube 2

Hello all,

I am running 2 nos. of Qube 2 (one is Gateway microserver actually) with
NetBSD 3.0. Both same to be got hang up intermittently especially
under heavy network traffic.

I had built my own kernel and disable any "phy" device on config file which
"lxtphy" is only enable in GENERIC config file by default. Dmesg output is:

Re: Restore CD for NetBSD 3 Qube2

there is a bug with DHCP config in the CD netBSD 3.0 from rowdy .that
give IP 0.0.0.0 after install .
and you can't access your Qube after install.

there is a modified iso of that CD here , which disable DHCP and put IP
192.168.0.10
http://www.dutchbloke.net/netbsd/

unfortunatly at the moment this site is down due to bandwidth allowance
exceeded

he was up last week so i hope it 'll be back soon

Re: Restore CD for NetBSD 3 Qube2

Sorry http://www.dutchbloke.net/netbsd/ will be down for some time - as
I didn't realise my ISP freespace had a 250mb bandwidth limit per day...(!)

I'm looking to get some proper webhosting - when I do I'll rehost the iso.

Meanwhile if you want the ISO I can email you a user/pass to an ftp site
- or maybe someone wants to pop it on their webspace(?)

Surely there's a process for getting things like this to the big
netbsd.org site in the sky? that IMO is where it belongs- why have
some new person coming in, only have access to old material?

I've made numerous attempts to get in touch with the guys at NetBSD
about this problem and have always had my emails forwarded to the port
maintainer for the Cobalt port... And that's where it dies. No
reply. No error messages. It's an email black hole. The website
for the port, the document and the restore CD on the NetBSD site are all
out of date. I've said that I'd gladly update the site and upload the
new restore images if given the appropriate access to do so for the
port... Nothing.

I guess I can make another plea to get something rolling...

Netbsd 3.0 crashes

Hi all,

For those of you who had experienced repeting crash with 3.0 kernel
build december 2005.

I give you my feed back wiht the lastest GENERIC kernel version on
ftp.netbsg.org:
----------
NetBSD 3.0_STABLE (GENERIC) #0: Tue Mar 7 01:59:23 UTC 2006
builds <at> b3.netbsd.org:/home/builds/ab/netbsd-3/cobalt/200603060000Z-
obj/home/builds/ab/netbsd-3/src/sys/arch/cobalt/compile/GENERIC cobalt
----------

After more than three crash a day on 'normal' network load..... Now
with the kernel version above my blue box gets more stable.

I just copied the GENERIC kernel to the root directory, crossed my
fingers and reboot.

Does anybody could confirm this.

My bluebox config.

256 MB
160 GB HD
1 network card active
1 usb card but not used because of the unknown devices and some
strange memory error msg
