Looks like EV68CB from here.

Here's the specs on it.

NetBSD fails to install on AlphaServer DS25

Hello everyone!

I have a problem installing NetBSD (tried NetBSD from 5.2 up to 6.01) on HP AlphaServer DS 25.
My step-by-step actions:
1. Downloaded NetBSD/alpha ISO from ftp://iso.de.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/iso and burned it.
2. Typed "boot dqa0" from SRM console to boot from CD.
3. Boot proceeds, and kernel starts to load, but load fails with "kernel stack not valid halt" error :(

I Googled about this problem (hoping it was a kind of SRM misconfiguration), but no luck :(( .I also noticed
that the DS25 is not in "Supported System Models" list at http://www.netbsd.org/ports/alpha/ :(((

Is this system supported? Or is there anyone who had successfully installed NetBSD (any version) on the DS25??

Best regards,
Maxim.

devel/boost-libs-1.53.0 won't build on alpha

As far as I can tell, boost 1.53 won't build on alpha due to
Boost.Context requiring a bit of assembly code. pkgsrc has a patch to
add the necessary bits for sparc, but there's nothing for alpha.
Should alpha be added to the package's NOT_FOR_PLATFORM? BTW, I don't
see any m68k support either, but I haven't tried to build it on a 68k
:)

Also, is there anyone here who might be able to write the alpha
support routines, or is that better asked on the boost mailing list?

static link csh/tcsh dumps core

I've been updating one of our alphas here at CMU with 6.0.1
(was running 5.1_STABLE from Feb 2011 before).

The upgrade went fine, but when I started updating pkgsrc
I noticed that my /bin/tcsh (from standalone-tcsh package)
dumps the core.

I dug into it a bit more and discovered that even csh dumps
core if it is static linked:

% uname -a
NetBSD omega.pdl.cmu.local 6.0.1 NetBSD 6.0.1 (GENERIC-$Revision: 1.343 $) #1: Tue Feb  5 13:43:34 EST
2013  chuck <at> omega.pdl.cmu.local:/home/netbsd/6/src/sys/arch/alpha/compile/OMEGA alpha
% /bin/sh
$ exit
% /bin/csh -f
% exit
% exit
%
% /rescue/sh
$ exit
% /rescue/csh
Segmentation fault
%

Now if I run /rescue/csh from my old 5.1_STABLE system it works:

%
% /home/netbsd/5/alpha/destdir/rescue/csh -f

    Will you be one of the first on a Dreamliner after the FAA greenlights them again?

    Yes, they look great and are cutting edge of aviation. No, even with an FAA greenlight, I wouldn't want to be one of the first back onboard.
