differencies in generated .html files

Hello,

I have often observed "spurious" changes in html files that I have
regenerated from XML myself. The changes looked like e.g.

-----------------------
 <at> <at> -144,7 +144,7 <at> <at>

- <p>You can <a class="ulink" href="http://www.NetBSD.org/Gnats/" target="_top">

and look for PRs you can handle.</p>
<p>There are many of them divided to many categories; most are

I have discovered that after upgrading the docbook-xsl package from 1.69.1
to 1.73.2nb1 the differences disappear. So if you have this problem and
avoid committing the generated files because of it, try upgrading
docbook-xsl.

As said in another mail, FreeBSD seems to take that easier.
I wouldn't assume that to be a result of different negotiations
with TOG, but of different interpretation.
As a person which can barely read english text written by
normal humans, I can't honestly contribute to the interpretation
of the license text.
My gut feeling is "no worries", but I'd like to hear experts first
before I move the manpages forth and back in the source tree.

OK, moved to netbsd-docs.

to me, i doesn't seem like a matter of interpretation.
iirc, we have been explicitly told that formatted man pages should have
the TOG license notice. freebsd doesn't seem to have it.

I don't argue that we should put the text there if we got
told so - this doesn't hurt.
The question is whether we can redistribute the stuff without
further restrictions.

Hubert - any progress here?

Er no (sorry), but I'll go and ask now. I don't expect us to get
permission for re-licensing, though.

Here we go: I've answer from TOG that descendants of NetBSD don't have to
get an extra license.

As such, I think there's no problem adding those TOG-licensed manpages
(e.g. from the Linux documentatino project, as mentioned) into NetBSD.
