[grant <at> netbsd.org: CVS commit: htdocs/Releases/formal-1.6]

Hi all,

As you may know, the 1.6.1 release process is in full progress, and I
think we should try to get the translation of the release announcement
started.  Attached find the commit message of Grant's initial import of
the 1.6.1 announcement.  Obviously, there will be quite a few changes
before the release can be announced, but nonetheless we should get
started.

You probably can take the 1.6 announcement, if it exists in your
language, and start translating the 1.6.1 using that as an example.

Good luck with the translation, and feel free to send me any work in
progress -- I can put it up on http://netbsd.netmeister.org for review.

as this is a minor release, I removed a lot of "fluff", so please take
note of the diff between the 1.6 and 1.6.1 announcements.

NetBSD 1.6.1 Release announcement translation

Hi all,

The NetBSD 1.6.1 Release is approaching!  Currently, we only have
English, Dutch and French translations of the release announcement.  It
would be great if we could get the release announcement translated into
more languages -- remember, the 1.6 announcement was available in 9
languages, and 1.5.3 in 11!  It would be a shame if we would have to
release 1.6.1 without international announcements.

So, if you find some time to take the english original (even though not
yet completed) from htdocs/Releases/formal-1.6/NetBSD-1.6.1.list and
translate it (maybe using the 1.5.3 translation as a draft/help), I
would very much appreciate it.

I'll try to work on the German translation over the next week, but
certainly would also appreciate any help.

I just translated it into Japanese. It will be committed to the
repository with other changes soon.
