>Description:
in the files kdenetwork-3.5.6/filesharing/advanced/kcm_sambaconf/kcmsambaconf.cpp and
kdenetwork-3.5.6/filesharing/simple/filesharing.cpp there's a hard coded reference to
"/etc/security/fileshare.conf" which can't exist on NetBSD because of the file /etc/security (in
addition to the fact that it would be bad practice being outside of $PREFIX or $PKGSYSCONFDIR

>How-To-Repeat:
Install kdenetwork3, try to accomplish anything in KDE Control Center/Internet & Network/Samba, watch
it forget as soon as you close it and return.
>Fix:
Quick and dirty: make the files reference " <at> PKGSYSCONFDIR <at> /security/fileshare.conf" with a quick patch

There is also a webform, please read these instructions:

Since this thread is fully OFF anyway, I am asking: what is the usual delay for forms submitted via www? I've
sent a PR 2 weeks ago and I still cannot see it in this list.

Why? It is in pkgsrc (databases/gnats), there's gtk-send-pr and as you
said the web frontend. The assumption of send-pr in base is useless for
platforms that don't use GNATS.

I don't really care about this bug either, as I asked often enough for
tests of net-snmp and the client libraries (the only part I really use)
works.

Have you followed the notes in xpkgwedge? This doesn't really sound
like a bug in the package.

It works the same way in NetBSD4 for me.
XAPPLRESDIR
is definitely set to /usr/pkg/lib/X11/app-default.

Under Linux it worked fine for me, I'll recheck this tomorrow.

Could you explain the following?
If any users set XAPPLRESDIR in their own environment, these settings
will not work -- such users need to set XUSERFILESEARCHPATH (syntax
  can be found in XtResolvePathname(3Xt)).

What does "in their own environment" mean?
