What do you mean by "breaks the patches"? I just removed the CR
characters on the two mentioned lines, then ran "make distinfo", and
everything was fine.

Ah. How did you do that? And can you teach pkgdiff?

I replaced the CR with a LF (rather: hit 'return' in the editor), and that
broke the patch, offsetting the line numbers.

<at> pkgdir and share/emacs/emacs21.4/leim

After a binary install of emacs(21)-nox11 on a 4.0.1 machine, emacs complains Warning: Lisp directory
`/usr/pkg/share/emacs/21.4/leim' does not exist.
The relevant PLIST contains <at> pkgdir share/emacs/${EMACSVERSION}/leim, but nothing else. The Guide says:

If a package needs an empty directory to work, create the directory during installation as usual, and also
add an entry to the PLIST:

Does this mean that pkg_add should create the directory because of the <at> pkgdir command or does the PLIST
need an additional entry?

It does. Do you have a recent pkg_install though?

MySQL server dependencies

Hi all,
while working on fixing the MySQL client dependencies, I am stumbled
over an interesting issue with the server. When using binary packages,
mysql-server will always be picked up as 5.1 by the currently used
dependencies. This effectively makes the prefered version useless when
building full trees as it generally results in conflicts if both client
and server are needed. What are the opinions on having an option for
mk/mysql.b3.mk to depend on the server too?

I opened the file using mcedit (from sysutils/mc), went to the two lines
that have the <at> <at> in them and deleted the last character on these lines.
I left all other lines untouched, so there was no chance of messing up
with the line numbers in the patch.

Apparantly not. What's the minimum version number to support <at> pkgdir, then?

Whatever it is, this should be caught in the versioning checks within
pkgsrc itself.
