"USE_TOOLS+= install" doesn't work

	Hello,

the "non-root build" patches recently added to the "clisp" package
don't work under Solaris because they use "install" instead of
"$(INSTALL)" and therefore pick up the wrong "install" command
(in "/usr/bin" instead of "/usr/ucb").

I tried to fix this by adding "USE_TOOLS+= install" hoping that
"pkgsrc" would generate an appropriate wrapper. But it didn't.
Why's that?

	Kind regards

ocaml and buildlink3

Hi,

I just encountered a few problems with devel/ocaml-findlib, related to
how the ocaml package is buildlinked.
ocaml-findlib fails to detect the threading support of ocaml, because
of a missing threads/threads.a file in buildlink.

Adding
BUILDLINK_CONTENTS_FILTER.ocaml= \
  ${EGREP} '(include.*/|\.h$$|\.idl$$|\.pc$$|\.a|/lib[^/]*\.[^/]*$$)'

(I added the \.a to the original definition...)
to lang/ocaml/buidllink3.mk
seems to fix the problem (thus packages requiring thread support for
ocaml and using ocaml-findlibs do build correctly).
Is this a correct way to fix the problem, or is there a better way ?

Cheers,
antoine

I'm not surprised by that, I'm pretty sure that pkg_chk falls into the
same category as well...

Wrong path to perl

Hi,

This doesn't look right (I have updated pkgsrc 10 minutes ago):

% cd /usr/pkgsrc/mail/postgrey
% make install
% head -1 /usr/pkg/sbin/postgrey
#!/usr/bin/perl -T -w
% type perl
perl is /usr/pkg/bin/perl

On my server with older postgrey everything is fine:

% head -1 /usr/pkg/sbin/postgrey
#!/usr/pkg/bin/perl -T -w

% pkg_info | grep postgrey
postgrey-1.24       Postfix Greylist Policy Server

It should be fixed now. I'm sorry for your inconvenience.

Moreover, with the correct path for perl, postgrey seems to die
just after lauch. Nothing in /var/log maillog except the correct
startup messages:

Apr  3 15:02:43 shuttle postgrey[8414]: Process Backgrounded
Apr  3 15:02:43 shuttle postgrey[8414]: 2007/04/03-15:02:43 postgrey (type Net::Server::Multiplex)
starting! pid(8414)
Apr 3 15:02:43 shuttle postgrey[8414]: Binding to TCP port 2525 on host localhost
Apr  3 15:02:43 shuttle postgrey[8414]: Setting gid to "32766 32766"
Apr  3 15:02:43 shuttle postgrey[8414]: Setting uid to "200"

But no postgrey process...
