 It seems to, i.e. I get the (wrong) krb5 prompt (but can't tell if it works
 fully).

 BTW, -DDEBUG is still used for libpam.  Presumably that'll be turned
 off when any remaining issues are resolved.

That is your other PR and I know how to fix it, but roland will take a look
at it.

 I suspect I've misinterpreted at least part of the problem.  It doesn't
 special case when su'ing to root so the wrong principal is asked for.
 It does call krb5_kuserok() so $HOME/.k5login is probably used ok.

Yeah, looked a little this afternoon and it looked rather suspect.
I shall have a more complete look at it in the next few days and
fix it to behave properly.
