Trouble downloading plugins...

Hi Group,

first and foremost, I am a n00b, so pls. be considerate. I downloaded
QS yesterday, and all seems to be good, except that I can't download
any of the plugins available. I've tried several different ones, and
there's no difference. QS starts to download, but never finishes....
the bar gets stuck at 99% if I try to download 1 plugin, and at around
50% if I try to dl 2 or more (all through the prefs in QS). I've als
tried dling them as a file, but that also fails in terms of
installation. I get the file, open&install, but it doesn't install on
qs..... Anybody help me here pls? What am I doing wrong?

Thx.

Re: Remove Item from Shelf?

Works with me for B54 (3815) and I think it worked with B53.

What happens when you highlight a shelf item and hit the delete key?
Are there any messages in the console? What is the shelf item you're
trying to remove?

I tried both the Delete key method and dragging to the Trash. Neither
worked for me. What build do these technique work with? I'm running
β53 (3814) because I need Social Bookmarks to work.

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts

plz tell me if i am doing something wrong:

i have set some shortcuts:
Option-G for google
and some other shortcuts like Option-<some alphabet> for other search
engines.
would it result in any conflict with "commonly used" apps? I have not
found any conflicts yet.
would it suppress any default actions which these shorcuts were meant
to perform? (if i am not wrong, when a trigger is set in QS, the
trigger alone works even if the shortcut keys used for that trigger
are meant to do something else in any app)
i m asking these bcoz most of you seem to use three key shortcuts for
search engines. Or is it just that you use two key shortcuts (option-
<some alphabet> for something else?
can i also use option-<some number key>.....i have not seen it being
used by others

"Clipboard Contents (Type Text)" keyboard shortcut causes computer to go insane

Here's a puzzle. I recently realized that I use the "Clipboard
Contents (Type Text)" action quite a lot to remove the formatting from
text on the clipboard, so I made a shortcut for it: ctrl-opt-cmd-v.
To make sure it worked, I went to Mail, copied my signature from
another e-mail and pasted it into a draft I was working on...and my
computer went completely bananas for about 4 seconds, randomly
switching to open applications and opening new windows, invoking
random keyboard shortcuts (not QS shortcuts, mind you, the built-in
shortcuts in the respective applications). As an experiment, I tried
the shortcut again in Text Edit to the same effect. I changed the
shortcut to different combinations of ctrl, opt, and cmd to the same
effect. Oddly enough, the action works perfectly fine if I invoke it
through the command window.

I'm running QS B54 on 10.5.5. It's not exactly mission critical, but
any ideas on why this happens?

Re: Remove Item from Shelf?

I seem to remember this not working for me in B53, either, at one
point, though I think it magically fixed itself. Have you tried the
"Remove from shelf" action?

Mail already has "Paste and Match style"
