I don’t remember it AT ALL. In fact, there is a big void surrounding all previous mention of Paranoia. All I
know is that it was a terrible, terrible game that tried to foster a climate of mistrust and breed discontent.

The computer is your friend.

Please remain where you are, troubleshooters are en route to your location.

maybe the fact I only ever was a player has its importance in my memories, as it was hell to try and herd us
players, that's for sure…

Yes, I loved Paranoia. I had no choice.

It was. My friends and I would play it as a break from the other stuff mainly. You could not take it seriously
and it was a nice change of pace from the more serious games.

Mutants are illegal! You are a mutant! I recall something like that.

Exactly. It was a really nice to get away from Rolemaster's tables and tables and tables…even though I
liked them!

Secret societies are illegal. Roll to see which secret society you're in.

 :)
never heard that one!
More seriously, the biggest hurdle I had was trying to get my players to read the book(s) I wanted to use. But I
was the only one whom could read (without too much effort) English rule books, so it's no wonder I
gravitated to a playing style rather similar to what Erick Wujcik ended up doing with Ember.

you either were playing recently, or have access to the rule book, or definitively were not drinking when
you were playing…
It rings a bell now, but I could not have come up with that by myself.

Or I was an RPG writer for a living in the 90s.
