that iPhone 4

Let nutters take note - that gizmodo iphone scoop (of which
we are surely all aware already) is not just exciting news about what
is probably the next iPhone, but it is also a really big scoop
article that is co-authored by our very own Jesuz Diaz. Yeah, I know
he hasn't been around here for a while, but Jesus will always be a
nutter, and I am so pleased to see him writing things that will make
Steve Jobs want him killed.

But dammit, I was all set to upgrade from my 3G to a 3GS
pretty much next week, and now they are taunting me with a new model
that some people are claiming will be announced in the next few
months.
So, I am assuming now i have to not upgrade my phone for 4
months or so so I can upgrade to the new one at the first opportunity?
	Cheers
		Dave

Do not upgrade. New phones in June.

like every time so far. Well, at least they're announced then.
But are iPhones immediately available after the announcement in
Australia?

My telco salesdrones kept telling me that there would be no
iPhone G4 in Australia for ages because 'we don't have a g4 network'.
Unfortunately, there is no way to slap them over the phone.

OK, but other than showing the case theres nothing there about new features in the hardware, is there?

OK, forward facng camera and a flash on the back and a micro sim, but that's all just generic updates. Is it 4G?
does it have more RAM? is it the Verizcum model that's been rumored?

I assumed that since apple 'bricked' it there wasn't really any way to figure that out.

I'd really like to know about the Verizon part though. My AT&T coverage is so spotty here that if I set the
phone down with my left hand at my desk I lose coverage, right hand is ok.. (no I'm not kidding)

Verizon is full strength here.. (I've had them before and I'm no fan but it would be better than no signal in
half the frickin house)

I had that issue with Tmo. Right of keyboard was OK. Left was not.

If you're really desperate, you could look into getting a MicroCell from AT&T:

<http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/why/3gmicrocell/>

Currently only available in 'select' markets, though.

Cheers,
Lars

LEM nannies grossly abuse powers

Never before have I experienced a greater example of this kind of
abuse. Today I posted to their feedback group, lemlists, a question as
to why moderated spam posts are being permitted. A nanny responded to
my question offlist and unprovoked with a very hostile message
basically boiling down to "get a education and shutup". Obviously
appauled by such representation by the nannies of LEM I forwarded the
offlist response to the lemlists list asking if everyone truly thought
such administration action was acceptable. The nanny responded to that
by putting me on moderation status for that list. I then just recently
checked on the other lem lists I subscribe to only to find the nanny
banned me from all the major lists I subscribed to without
explanation. I cannot believe there is such unchecked abuse of
administrative powers at that community. Until such behavior is
rectify I recommend boycotting the lem community.

What's a LEM, apart from a Lunar Excursion Module?
