Excerpts from University of Delaware Office of Residence Life Diversity Facilitation Training

<http://www.thefire.org/index.php/article/8552.html>

gotta love this..

“REVERSE RACISM: A term created and used by white people to deny
their white privilege. Those in denial use the term reverse racism to
refer to hostile behavior by people of color toward whites, and to
affirmative action policies, which allegedly give 'preferential
treatment' to people of color over whites. In the U.S., there is no
such thing as 'reverse racism.'" - Page 3

“A NON-RACIST: A non-term. The term was created by whites to deny
responsibility for systemic racism, to maintain an aura of innocence
in the face of racial oppression, and to shift responsibility for
that oppression from whites to people of color (called "blaming the
victim"). Responsibility for perpetuating and legitimizing a racist
system rests both on those who actively maintain it, and on those who
refuse to challenge it. Silence is consent." - Page 3

there is a lot more B.S. in this document. It is simply amazing
that a University would attempt to force students to attend something
that forces this view.

<University of Delaware Requires Students to Undergo Ideological
Reeducation>
<http://s3.amazonaws.com/thefirecache/8555.html>

I wonder what will happen when a student stands up and calls BS on
this document.

Huh, I live about 15 miles away from UD and only heard about this
today. Though I don't go and don't know anybody that does go, so I
suppose that isn't all that surprising.

This is what the local paper wrote about
it:
 >

They have a comments section - read the comments. Most of them are
just people posting just to post but there are some interesting ones
in there (click on the "View All Comments" link).

A NON-WHITE:

A non-term, used to deny their own white racist supremacist bigotry.
Often used in the racist Apartheid system by so-called victims of the
system, who hide behind their NON-WHITE status as a means to effect
downward mobility to lower social standing, gain entry to townships
lacking modern amenities, and prevent themselves being elected to
parliament. They maintain an aura of innocence and are responsible for
perpetuating and legitimatizing the racist system by their complicit
employment in low skill jobs and compliance with segregation policies.
Their refusal to challenge it, is a silence of consent.

I need to read the actual material, not just the excerpts to be sure.
On the surface it doesn't sound good though.

Good luck with that, they have already taken them down.

Since they are saying that there was nothing wrong, one has to wonder
why they pulled the info so quickly. One might expect that they would
be proud
of their diversity indoctrination 'treatments' (their word)

As noted here

<http://www.thefire.org/index.php/torch/#8581>

Some of the materials can be found by reading that link, some can
still be found in the google cache. (man they must hate google..)

There's the notion that there are no "individuals", just culture.

If this stuff is coming from that kind of thinking, then I can see how
they'd conclude that every person who's white is part of the system,
and is the system, and is oppressive, and is a racist. There are no
"non-racists" because there are no non-cultureds.

So what they want to do is create a new culture and indoctrinate
people into it. People will be encouraged to discuss and explore and
decide for themselves... but there is only one right answer; the new
culture that sees all white systems as racist systems.

But by putting all the emphasis on culture, they downplay the role of
the individual. Cultures don't have intentionality, only individuals
do. Groups don't have a singular intention, only an individual does
(hence shambolic "decisions by committee"). The one thing they need
most--individuals choosing for themselves--is in a subtle way the one
thing they deny the most.

They deny people's right to be themselves, and somehow expect
